3DSMaxScript.Witcher

v1.2.3.2 -->> Added a new Shader definition.
v1.2.3.1 -->> Fixed an undefined variable issue that can cause twMax to crash when importing some Enhanced Edition models.

This is a model importer for The Witcher's binary model format. This is only an importer. This is awork in progress.

I am very far from being finished, and this may very well be buggy or finicky.

So far this has been tested to work with 3DSMax8 and 3DSMax9. This will not work with gMax. Not yet at least.

This has imported a small number of model files so far. You can see my test subjects in the images I uploaded.

This is not a self-extracting file. You need to extract the files to your 3DSMax Scripts directory. No autostart has been built-in yet. After starting 3DSMax click on MaxScript in the menu bar, select Run Script, browse to the Scripts/twMax directory and select twMax.ms

Be very careful when using the Full Debugging option. You could be waiting a very long time for a larger file to import when that option is turned on.

Zip and Rar formats provided for convenience, download the version you are more comfortable with.

  1. Good day! As possible after the import to create bone, rather than dummy?

    Very need!

  2. Solution: Export it to FBX to Maya, and in Maya the dummies become bones :)I did not create the script. I posted it because it seems very useful and rare to find.
